All that pressure got you down? Discover the restorative power of inversion
You can’t avoid gravity or the regular wear-and-tear of daily life, but you can “reverse” the aging effects of gravity and compression by doing Zero-Compression Inversion in an AntiGravity Hammock.
Zero-Compression Inversion decompresses the vertebrae and joints, restoring the cushion of space between them. The inversion is called “zero compression” because the AntiGravity Hammock takes the pressure off all of your joints (neck, wrists, hips, knees, ankles) and spine. The advantage is that you get to decompress your joints and spine at the same time—with many health benefits.
Sometimes decompression is referred to as traction or stretching the spine. In a Zero-Compression Inversion, the body is relaxed and fully supported by the AntiGravity Hammock. The weight of the head gently lengthens the spine, creating traction, allowing the body to find correct alignment, and opening the space between your vertebrae.
“Hidden in the forces that pull us down, is the energy to lift us up.”
– Christopher Harrison, Founder, AntiGravity Fitness

Think of your connective tissue like a sponge. The more you compress it, the more it dries out. Zero-Compression Inversion not only opens up space but also rehydrates your body’s natural shock absorbers—the spongy connective tissue between the joints and vertebrae—and revitalizes your whole system.
Zero-Compression Inversion is part of every AntiGravity Fitness class. You can also do Zero-Compression Inversion at home with the AntiGravity Hammock.
Lots of things create compression – even exercise!
If your workout doesn’t include decompression, it may be doing you more harm than good.
The Feel-Good News
It’s simple to turn this “compressive-depressive” situation upside-down. When you start decompressing your spine and joints in Zero-Compression Inversion, you’ll experience the many restorative health benefits for yourself.
